On a recent trip for a site visit in the Ozarks of Arkansas, I made a bucket-list stop at Thorncrown Chapel. This gorgeous little chapel has a floorplan of about 30'x40' with nearly all glass walls and slender, exquisitely designed trusses. My favorite surprise was that the HVAC was hidden inside a low stone wall along the entire perimeter. The design of this space by architect Fay E. Jones was commissioned by a teacher couple and remains in the family today.
